Michelin North America has introduced its latest commercial all-weather tyre, the Agilis CrossClimate 2, designed to meet the increasing demands of working fleets facing rising maintenance costs and challenging road conditions.

The new tyre aims to deliver enhanced reliability, durability, and all-season performance for commercial light trucks, which are essential to keeping goods and services moving across the country. Michelin said it will launch the tyre in 18 sizes, covering more than 90% of the market segment, with additional sizes to follow in October.

The Agilis CrossClimate 2 features Michelin’s proprietary CurbGard technology, which offers 70 percent more sidewall rubber than the FirestoneTransforce HT2 to resist curb damage. The tyre also promises up to 35 percent more mileage than the Firestone Transforce HT3 and 35 percent better snow traction compared with the Goodyear Wrangler Workhorse HT, according to Michelin internal testing.

Additional performance comes from Michelin’s SipeLock technology, which includes hundreds of biting edges to enhance traction in difficult conditions. The tyre is backed by a 20 percent longer mileage guarantee and a 60-day satisfaction warranty.

“The Michelin Agilis CrossClimate 2 tyre is the equivalent of rolling up your sleeves and powering through a job. Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) has selected the BluEarth 711L tyre from The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. as original equipment (OE) for the Super Great heavy-duty truck. The Super Great, which started selling in Japan from December 2023 with a full model change, will be fitted with 245/70R19.5 136/134J and 275/80R22.5 151/148J tyres.

The BluEarth 711L is an all-season truck tyre that prioritizes and achieves exceptional fuel efficiency. For clients who often drive on highways, in particular, this will help lower their transportation expenses. Yokohama Rubber has started supplying the new Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupé with 20-inch ADVAN Sport V107 tyres from June 2025. The Coupé is fitted with 265/35ZR20 front and 295/30ZR20 rear tyres, expanding Yokohama's existing supply of 19-inch versions for this model since 2024.

As part of Yokohama's premium ADVAN line, the Sport V107 tyres were co-developed with Mercedes-AMG and rigorously tested at Germany's Nürburgring circuit. Toyota Motor Corporation has selected Yokohama Rubber's GEOLANDAR A/T G31 and GEOLANDAR X-CV tyres as original equipment for its new 2025 4Runner SUV. The A/T G31 tyres (245/70R18 110H) will be equipped on Latin American models, while the X-CV tyres (245/70R17 110T and 265/55R20 113V) will be fitted for North America.

The GEOLANDAR A/T G31 combines all-terrain capability with on-road handling, offering enhanced fuel efficiency and reduced noise.
