TVS Eurogrip recently participated in the 12th edition of the Krishi Darshan Expo, held between 17th and 19th February in Hisar, Haryana. The expo, organised by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and NRFMTTI, Hisar, provided a platform for showcasing a diverse range of agriculture and off-highway tyres at stall OA-32.

In a pioneering move for the Indian market, TVS Eurogrip introduced an extensive array of sizes from the Tigertrac R-1W tractor radial portfolio. With India witnessing a burgeoning market for agricultural tractors and a continuous influx of modern tractor models from leading manufacturers, radial tractor tyres have emerged as a game-changer. They offer enhanced traction, efficient self-cleaning properties, improved load-carrying capacity compared to bias equivalents, and superior driving comfort - a crucial factor given the absence of suspension systems in tractors, making tyres the primary shock-absorbing component.

Additionally, TVS Eurogrip showcased a wide range of implement tyres, catering to various towed implements in 12, 15.3, and 16-inch rim sizes. Among these, the IM 18 pattern gained prominence for its versatility, finding widespread use in balers, small trailers, and tankers globally. Another notable tyre on display was the PT 09, highly acclaimed for power tillers and hand tractors, boasting a high-traction tread design and a robust carcass with a cut and tear-resistant compound.

The expo also featured TVS Eurogrip’s agricultural tyre range for diverse applications such as sugarcane harvesters, balers, trailers, power tillers, and reapers. Notably, the 16.9-28 Industrial tyres showcased for sugarcane harvesters are designed to endure severe underfoot conditions and stubble damage. The TVS Eurogrip BL 09 stood out with its strong carcass, cut and tear-resistant compound, and non-directional tread design featuring blocks and lugs, making it an ideal choice for cane harvesters in dry and wet conditions. Its inter-lugs provide robust puncture protection, while the ‘Y’ block lugs ensure stable and smooth road transport service.

Bridgestone has confirmed a January 2026 launch for its new premium sports motorcycle tyre, the BATTLAX RACING STREET RS12, in North America. Developed under the concept ‘From Circuit to Street,’ this road-legal tyre is engineered to deliver the highest level of dry grip within the BATTLAX lineup by directly incorporating technologies refined in competitive racing.

The RS12 features a specialised compound derived from race tyre development, which works in concert with a newly designed tread pattern. This pattern’s optimised groove ratio enhances overall tyre rigidity and increases the contact area during cornering for superior grip. A significant innovation for the front tyre is the introduction of the HE-MS BELT structure, a technology previously reserved for top-tier global motorcycle races. This flexible belt system equalises contact pressure to provide a further boost in traction.

 India's Rubber Board has donated floor cleaning equipment valued at Rs 10 lakh to Kottayam Medical College as part of the Central Government's cleanliness initiative.

The equipment, comprising a scrubber dryer floor cleaning machine and a vacuum cleaner, was handed over at a ceremony held at the medical college on Sunday.

M Vasanthagesan IRS, Executive Director of the Rubber Board, presented the equipment at a meeting presided over by V N Vasavan, Kerala's Minister for Co-operation, Ports and Devaswom.

The event, conducted under the Centre's 'Swachhata Action Plan', also recognised cleaning workers at the medical college.

Dr Varghese Punnoose, Principal of Kottayam Medical College, Dr T K Jayakumar, Superintendent of the institution, and Dr Binoi K Kurien, Secretary in-charge of the Rubber Board, addressed the gathering.

The Rubber Board, a statutory body under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, oversees development and regulation of India's rubber industry.
