Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has selected the AllSeasonContact and the EcoContact 6 summer tyres for the VW Caddy. The company said in a statement that both tyre models are optimised for rolling resistance and received the highest rating A in the EU tyre label due to their high energy efficiency. 

The company said the AllSeasonContact combines elements of Continental’s premium summer and winter tyres. In a recent all-season tyre test conducted by the German automotive magazine Auto Bild, the AllSeasonContact tyre received an “exemplary” rating for its all-round capabilities and good price-performance ratio.

Besides, Continental will supply the EcoContact 6 for the Caddy, which is characterised by its energy efficiency, high mileage, braking performance as well as good handling. The company said the EcoContact 6 provides reliable grip on dry and wet roads as well as very good cornering stability, even at high speeds.

The EcoContact 6 recently demonstrated its energy efficiency in the Auto Zeitung summer tyre test. It won out against nine other products from European, Asian and American manufacturers in the rolling resistance test and was awarded the “Fuel-economy recommendation” by the editorial team, the release said.

Continental said it also offers the WinterContact TS 870 for the VW Caddy at tyre dealers. The winter tyre was named the winner in the major winter tyre test by Auto Bild.

The products and sizes approved for the Volkswagen Caddy in several countries are AllSeasonContact, 205/60 R16 96H XL, AllSeasonContact, 215/55 R17 98H XL, and EcoContact 6, 215/55 R17 98H XL, the release added. (TT)

Chinese tyre major Linglong Tire was recently recognised as one of the Best Managed Companies in China in an event joint held by Deloitte China, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) Business School and the Harvard Business Review.

The tyre maker was recognised for its capabilities in the areas of strategic leadership, operational efficiency, integrated management and sustainable growth at the annual event.

Linglong Tire stated that the Best Managed Companies program is a globally recognised initiative under the guidance of Deloitte is said to be the only international award in China for the comprehensive evaluation of enterprise management systems.

The award in its 7^th year saw potential companies evaluated on the bases of complex management questions, executive interviews and neutral expert assessments based on Deloitte’s global program. The companies were assessed on four criteria – strategy, expertise, commitment and financial strength.

Hankook Tire Hungary Ltd received the ‘Key Supporter of Saint Pantaleon Hospital’ award during the hospital's Semmelweis Day ceremony in Dunaújváros, Hungary. This recognition highlights the company's longstanding commitment to enhancing local healthcare quality through consistent contributions.
